Spring/Summer Hockey Programs

BAHA Skills Development Camp

BAHA Skills Development Camp

Lead Instructors Bryan “Henry” Henrichs

This camp is for players interested in taking their game to the next level and working hard to attain that goal through focused attention to their skill development. The camp will focus not only on skating and overall skill development, but will increase “hockey knowledge” which can separate one player from the next.  Being a good skater, stick-handler and shooter is a good start, but positioning, awareness and recognition shift to shift become extremely important.  Ending the practices with a small game is a great way to allow the players to apply the teachings at full speed which allows them to get out of their comfort zones without worry of making mistakes.

Cost of Camp $125.00 (12 sessions) Goalies –FREE!

BAHA Summer Mite/8U Camp

For players born between 7/1/07-6/30/11

If you were a mite during the 2016-2017 season and your birthday is in the above range you are eligible for this camp.

*Lead Instructor – Bryan “Henry” Henrichs*

The Summer Mite/8U Camp is for players that are wanting to work on improving their skill level in hockey.   This camp will emphasize and instruct players on proper skating, stick handling, passing and shooting techniques. Proper skating technique includes the recognition of edges, proper knee bend, stride length and recovery. Stick handling instruction will include understanding the proper hand placement, and movements, to increase the players comfort level with the puck, which is crucial in stickhandling and shooting.  Proper shooting and passing techniques will be a focus to improve both power as well as accuracy.  The players will always be rewarded for their efforts with a small game to finish the on-ice sessions.  These small games will focus on a specific skill that was introduced during practice.

The Camp includes off ice training that will focus on body coordination.   The ability to reinforce stride movements off the ice will translate and help the player increase their progression on the ice.  Games off ice such as handball, soccer and other activities will increase their ability to read and react, use hand/eye coordination and elevate their competition level.  Off ice training will help on the ice as well as keep the camp fun!
